listed below require a minimal time commitment. Look
over the list because there is definitely something
to fit your busy schedule and provide you with the ability
to use your talents.

Ministries

Spirit Contributor
Contributors are needed to provide short devotional and scripture
readings
for PCNP's daily e-mailed devotional.
Experience:
Basic computer skills and internet access; training provided
Time: can be done at your convenience from home;
entries may be added months ahead.

Small
Group Leader
Small Group Leaders are people who have a desire to develop
relationships with others in order to encourage them in their
discipleship to Jesus Christ. Leaders help instruct, care,
pray for, and lead group members. Small Group Leaders are
those who have a committed relationship to Jesus Christ and
have had experience in leading groups. Small groups will meet
in a home of one of the members.
Experience:
For those who are interested in leading a group but have
no experience, there will be opportunities for training
to become an apprentice leader.
Time: Day and time will vary and depending on the
availability of group members.

Sunday
School Facilitator/Teacher
PCNP offers a variety of topical and biblical classes based
on the needs and abilities of church members. Bible, doctrine,
Church history, or practical classes on topics like relationships,
Christian walk, finances, conflict resolution, marketplace
ministry, etc. are offered to address the entire Christian
experience.
Experience:
Often certain people with teaching experience or a particular
area of expertise feel called to instruct in Sunday morning
classes. Some classes have materials (Videos, workbooks,
questions, etc.) provided and only need someone to facilitate
discussion.
Time: Classes are offered year-round and begin in
the Fall, Spring and Summer during the 9:30 am and 11:00
am hours on Sunday.

Coffee
Hour Set-up and Serve
Providing coffee, tea and refreshments on Sunday mornings.
This includes set up and clean up. Volunteers will bring baked
goods,milk and juice and receipts for reimbursement.

To run the media presentation for worship services.

(for 11:00 AM Service) of the week you are available. Please
meet in the Sanctuary balcony.

Ministries
Assist
with Senior Citizen Luncheon
Ministry
to senior citizens within the church as well as community
outreach to seniors. Set tables, help with food preparation,
serve meal and clean up.

Nursery
We believe ministry starts with "light up cars and
jack in the boxes" not to mention dozens of smiles, hugs,
and diaper changes. We provide Nursery Care for babies/toddlers
under age 2. Join us in Room 100 J (available during all 3
services).

Christmas Child Coordinator
Each year children and adults at PCNP fill up shoe boxes
with toys and necessities for underprivileged children.
The gifts are brought to the church, delivered to a local
drop off site and shipped to needy children throughout the
world.

- Living
Nativity Coordinator
Each year, PCNP participates in the community-wise Christmas
Walk (the Day after Thanksgiving). We have a Living Nativity
on the front steps of our church (re-enactment of the First
Christmas, caroling, live animals etc.). We are looking
for someone to organize and arrange refreshments for the
November 2006 Christmas Walk. The job involves cleaning
off serving trays, setting out cookies (made by folks in
the congregation), bringing cookies to front porch, packing
up leftover cookies, cleaning up afterwards.

Vacation
Bible School
Children 4 years old through 6th grade are invited to join
us for week-long high-energy summer fun designed to draw them
closer to the Lord.
- VBS
Decorating Assistant
Help make VBS decorations that create an exciting and fun
environment for children.
Time: Times can be discussed with VBS Decorating
Director~usually takes place during April-June. Can be done
at home or at church.

Supply Boxes
Take inventory and order supplies for individual VBS supply
boxes (that will aid teachers) prior to VBS, deliver boxes
to classrooms prior to VBS, after VBS return supplies to
supply cabinet.

Interfaith Hospitality Network
PCNP hosts homeless families and women from Union County several
times during the year for a week. The guests arrive on Sunday
between 2:00 PM and 2:30 PM. They stay at the church from
5:30 PM till 7:00 AM each weekday and all day Saturday. Tasks
to be done are:

Substitute Usher
Help people find seats in the sanctuary, hand out bulletins,
receive the offering.
Time:
Arrive 15 minutes before any of the three services and
stay after the service for 5 minutes to tidy up. Serve when
called if available.
Experience: You will meet by the outside doors, and
be partnered with an experienced usher. Also a good opportunity
for couples to serve together, if desired.

Greeter
Greet people as they enter the sanctuary. Can be done

Security
at the Fire Escape
The Fire Escape is always looking for adults to serve as security.
Fire Escape happens one Friday night a month and involves
between 500 - 600 high school students. Adults serve throughout
the facility as security. Best part of helping with security
at the Fire Escape is you get earplugs and a free t-shirt!
