Prayer Opportunities

We at the Presbyterian Church at New Providence (PCNP) strongly believe in the power of prayer. Jesus and his disciples modeled a lifestyle of prayer.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7

• Emergency Prayer Chain
  Members notify specific people who are committed to pray for the concerns and needs of our congregation and the community. For your emergency prayer need or to join the prayer chain contact Joan Schiller .
  
  
• Prayer for Revival A small group gathers, 7:00 AM-8:00 AM Friday mornings in Room 100A, to pray for the ministry of our mission partner, David Bryant and Concerts of Prayer International. Click for more information www.DavidBryantDirect.com.
  
  
• Monday Morning Prayer meets weekly to pray for specific requests. Contact: Alphra Cross .

• Prime Time Pray-ers gather to hold prayer requests up to God every Thursday at 7:45 AM. Contact Charles Daly for more information.

• Prayer For Renewal Each Thursday morning from 6:00 AM to 7:00 AM in Room 100B a group meets to pray for renewal and revival in the church, from PCNP to the world. Contact Bill Lovett for additional information.
  
  
• National Day of Prayer
  A community event is held on the first Thursday of May. We gather for dinner, prayer for local and national officials and participate in a live broadcast of the event from several cities.
