Small Group Ministry

God designed us to be in relationship, with Him and with one another. Small groups are a great way to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ through committed relationships.

A disciple is a committed follower of Jesus Christ who seeks to live a life marked by continued growth in understanding and obedience. But this growth does not happen unless one is willing to be intentional about discipleship, a dynamic relationship between fellow Christians and their Lord, marked by continual progress.

Joining a small group provides the encouragement, challenge and care that every Christian needs. The small groups at PCNP are varied, some focus on Bible study, some on fellowship, others on ministry, but all are intended to build community and connect followers of Christ to one another and to God.

Bible Study for Everyone
Bible Study and Prayer Meets every other Friday in New Providence, Chatham and Madison hosted by Lloyd and Joanne Turner
Bible Study and Fellowship This group of families and singles meet in New Providence on Friday nights. Children are welcome! Dave and Linda Allen
Coram Deo Meets on Tuesday nights in homes in Berkeley Heights, seeking to know the Lord more fully through study, worship, prayer, fellowship and service. It is made up of couples and individuals of varying age groups. Rob and Kathy Davis

Men's Groups
Saturday Morning at PCNP This group meets at PCNP on Saturday mornings from 6:30 AM - 8:15 AM for Bible study (currently Nehemiah), prayer and fellowship. Led by Jim Leong
Saturday Morning in Westfield Gather at Panera in Westfield on Saturday morning for Bible study (currently the minor prophets), fellowship and prayer. Stow Lovejoy
Wednesday Morning This Bible study and prayer gathering for men meets at the church on Wednesday mornings. Ian Rankine
Saturday Morning at Steve's Steve Vorhees hosts a group currently studying 'Christ is All!' at his home from 7:00 AM - 8:30 AM on Saturdays. Steve Voohees

Women's Groups
Third Thursday This group meets in the Wenman room at the church on the third Thursday of each month from 10:00 AM - Noon. Jan Schryer is the coordinator. Call the church office for more information 908.665.0050.

Prayer Groups
Prayer Group This group led by Joanne Williamson meets for prayer each Thursday morning from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM. Joanne Williamson
Prayer Group Gather to pray for the church and your own concerns with this group led by Alphra Cross, Monday mornings 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM in the Wenman Room. Call the church office for more information 908.665.0050.
Prime Time Prayers One of PCNP's longest running groups, these men meet in Room 100 A on Thursday morning at 7:30 AM for bagels and study (currently The Purpose-Driven Life). Bob Gorton
