"See,
I am doing a new thing!--
I
am making a way in the desert
and
streams in the wasteland."
Isaiah
43:19

And
God said, "I will be with you. And this will be
the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you
have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship
God on this mountain." Exodus
3:12 |

| Then
Moses and the Israelites sang this song to the LORD:
|
|
"I
will sing to the LORD,
for he is highly exalted.
The horse and its rider
he has hurled into the sea.
The LORD is my strength and my song;
he has become my salvation.
He is my God, and I will praise him,
my father's God, and I will exalt him."
Exodus 15:1-2

|
He
said, "If you listen carefully to the voice
of the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes,
if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his
decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases
I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals
you."
Exodus 15:26
|
Then
the LORD said to Moses, "Tell the Israelites this:
'You have seen for yourselves that I have spoken to you
from heaven: Do not make any gods to be alongside me;
do not make for yourselves gods of silver or gods of gold.
Exodus 20:22, 23

| We
went to Mexico to build houses. We came back changed.
When we began our trip we reflected how throughout history,
the desert has been a place God uses to teach His people
lessons about Himself. Some of those lessons are pleasant,
but most seem to be learned the hard way! The desert is
beautiful as well as hot, uncomfortable and dangerous.
God had lessons for us in the desert. We learned things
we could never have learned back home. We thank God for
leading and humbling us and providing for our needs. He
gave us all the stamina to complete the mission. We hope
you will continue to pray for the four families who received
the houses we built during our week in Mexico. Thank you
for helping us build HOPE! |
