and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude
in your hearts to God” Colossians 3:16
The Heart of Worship is Jesus
Deep
within our hearts as Christians is the need and desire to
praise the God who made us, who keeps us and cares for us.
We seek comfort, guidance, knowledge, inspiration, fellowship
and grace. We praise God, not out of duty, but out of delight.
Worship brings out the best in us. We see through God’s eyes.
We are nourished and prepared for the weekly battlefield called
life. We polish our armor and receive strength to face our
challenges in the world.
Through
worship we express our love to God and share fellowship with
other Christians. We feel God’s presence, we experience His
forgiveness, we are charged with His purpose and fueled by
His power.
