REFLECTIONS

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Matthew 11:28-29

Use the following steps as a model to start on a daily devotional time

Close your eyes
Experience the presence of Christ's love and peace.

Pray
"Thank you, God for…" (write out your prayer in a journal)

Read the Bible
Begin with a gospel or one of Paul's letters like Ephesians. Read in small bites.

Ask yourself questions about the passage you read
"Is there an example I can follow or an error I should avoid? Is there a command I should obey or a promise I can claim?"

Reflect
In which areas of my life is it most difficult to say, "not my will, Lord, But your will be done?"

Meditate
"What are the things that keep me from God? What are the things that bring me closer to God?"

Share
Tell someone about what you are experiencing and learning.

Psalm 100
A psalm. For giving thanks.

Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.

Worship the LORD with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.

Know that the LORD is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.

For the LORD is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.
